The New Orleans Police Department is seeking a man with a newly acquired tattoo who may have information about a double homicide that occurred at an Algiers tattoo parlor Monday night.

The man, described as 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall, has a tattoo or partial tattoo of the name “Ashley” on the side of his neck, police said, and may know who killed Joshua “O.G. Paco” Simmons, 29, of Kenner, and Terry Plaisance, 25, of Marrero.

Simmons owned Show Stoppers tattoo parlor at 1 West Bank Expressway and Plaisance was there getting a tattoo when the two men were shot at around 9:30 p.m. The murders may have been sparked by a disgruntled customer, according to another customer.

An unidentified 27-year-old man was wounded in the shooting, according to New Orleans police. Latara Jefferson, a patron of the tattoo parlor who was dropping off flowers and a balloon at the shop Tuesday, said Simmons got into a dispute with a woman about the cost of a tattoo he had given her. The woman left the shop and returned with her boyfriend, who opened fire, she said. Police reports confirmed that the woman’s companion committed the shooting, but authorities would not speculate on a motive.
