A tattoo of the grim reaper represents the fact that life doesn’t go on forever. Such a tattoo indicates death and they usually have the human form of a skull that is holding a scythe. The grim reaper finds human souls and takes them to their final destination, either hell or heaven depending on the deeds they have done while here on earth. Most people don’t even like to think about death because it is such a scary thought. But, the tattoo of the grim reaper is for the warriors and the brave. It was tattooed on their bodies in ancient times as a sign of bravery and a lack of fear of death.

While a tattoo of the grim reaper is normally associated with connotations that are sinister, there are numerous instances when the tattoo of the grim reaper doesn’t promote any type of evil at all. The fact is that they can be associated with rebirth or with life after death. These types of tattoos simply represent the soul leaving the body after death, no more, no less.

Usually the most common colors on a tattoo of the grim reaper are shades of black and gray although there are some people who prefer the tattoo of the grim reaper in various shades of purple, red, and orange. Orange is used to represent flames, purple represents the fumes, and Red represents blood. It’s all a matter of personal preference. Only you can determine the colors of the tattoo that are right for you.

There are some people that have the tattoo of the grim reaper put on their bodies as biblical connotation of death itself. These types of tattoos depict the grim reaper riding a light colored horse which, according to the Bible, represents death. In addition, there are some people who simply don’t like the idea of a tattoo of the grim reaper. You won’t find a tattoo of the grim reaper on those people’s bodies. But, there are numerous people whose souls have chosen to represent their bravery with a tattoo of the grim reaper and aren’t afraid of death. These people may be wrestlers and fighters or just normal people who are philosophical about death. Regardless if you like them or not, tattoos of the grim reaper have been around for a long time and they are here to stay.
