In the last 18 months, new U.S. President Barack Obama has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions of people in the U.S. and the world. He’s made history by becoming the first African-American and 44th president in U.S history.
Now more than ever it’s safe to say “Obama fever” is hot as fire. He’s on T-shirts, hats, coats, socks… and even skin. This is the case with Michigan Tattoo Company owner Raven, who has dazzled people with a good-looking Barack Obama tattoo on his leg.
The lifelong Democrat and owner of the tattoo shop for eight years wanted to pay tribute to President Obama in the only way he thought would work.

“I saw people getting (tattoos) and they looked like crap. I haven’t gotten a single negative response from anyone, including those who are anti-Obama or Republicans. There hasn’t been any kind of backlash, which is something I thought would happen, and that has to do with the quality of the tattoo.”

This isn’t the only election-related tattoo that Raven has done. He’s done a few Obama 2008 tattoos, but nothing as extravagant as his.

Raven made it clear he has wanted an Obama tattoo for a while, but the shocker is he didn’t do the tattoo himself. One of his employees, Jeremy Utley, was the man behind the fine work of art. There were plenty of times when he could’ve gotten the tattoo. When Obama got the Democratic nod, when he won the election, but Raven waited until inauguration day to finally get the tattoo. Raven thought the day Obama became president elect was monumental. But there was still a bit of skepticism. He said Election Day was when he knew Obama had won, but inauguration day was when he had no doubts.

Raven’s newly-found fame made him sought after by FOX News, a newspaper in Finland and even mentioned by Bill O’Reilly.
