< A Question about Polynesian Tatoo?

In Tattooing World, Polynesian Tattoos are very fancy to me and I am going to have one in near future. I have looked over several books and sited for designs but I want to have my own on my body. What you will say about it, Is it good idea to collect my own symbols from different books or sites and tell tattoo designer to paste these symbols on my body? Should I go for his own design gallery only?

Michael, I personally prefer unique bodyart so I'd go for something different like a Polynesian Tattoo. However, always make sure the symbols etc mean what they say they mean...don't get caught in the trap of falling for something that doesn't translate quite well.
