This is a very wide range topic. I myself in uniforn prefer not to display my tattoos. I believe it demeans my professionalism and people tend to take me less serious for their focus is diverted to my verbal communication to my tattoos. Whether one wants to admit it and as rediculous as it is, tattoos result it judgement. Just being the fact that I am a female I need to work to get people to take me seriously. Any form of distraction from maintaining a Professional image is just Unnecessary. Granted, Different subjects may react differently. The reaction will be different if in contact with an elderly person in which might not be as comfortable with tattoos as a younger subject who might be able to relate. It has pros and cons.

That’s such upper management bullshit tactics right there. Not even lieing. At a time when tatts are more popular than ever, they’re being dicks about the ones who have them bringing up the old perception that so many people still carry to this day of tatt’d people = violence which is so much crap.

i think cops should be allowed to show there tattoos while on duty they shouldnt have to cover them up. i would rather talk to a cop with tattoos them one that is clean cut and a dick…

in my opinion, officers should be the ones to decide if they want to cover up their tattoos or not. To me, if i see an officer with tattoos, i feel like he’s less of a ‘robot’ and more of a person i can relate too.. and for officers, i think this can work in their benefit when talkin to that dirtbag who doesnt wanna confess…
