My first guess would be because 99.999% of them actually got a kick out of it.

It only takes the raging bull mindset of a complete asshole who sees life through $_$ glasses to go, “THAT BASTARD! HE PUT A HARMLESS TEMPORARY TATTOO ON ME!!! OMG!!! I’M GOING TO BE RICH!!!”

For god’s sake lady, it’s a temp tat, ask the nurse for some rubbing alchol - there, all better. Now STFU and get a life, not someone else’s through the court system.

Ok so thats just a really weird thing to do…
I’ve spent a lot of time in hospital for broken bones, most that have needed surgery and every time I’ve had to sign something stating that my doctor and surgeon can do a list of specific types of surgery. If they do anything else they get from a formal warning to arrested and charged, is not done outside Australia?

Really it all boils down to ONE woman being greedy and easily offended. Instead of asking the Doc, “WTF is this?” she CHOSE to think, “Hey I can make money off of this… and with a recently herniated disk… I choose not to have to work ever again.”

I bet she yelled and ranted irrationally at the Doc just to prove her exorbitant rage, instead of saying, “Hey doc, I think this was messed up and I am really offended.”

A rational and decent person would have done the right thing. Brought it up in a civilized manner, instead of a civil matter! I bet doc would have apologized, and that apology should have been enough.

What a DREAM world I live in, where people can be decent and accept easy solutions to simple issues.

note: I do not disagree that what the doctor did was dumb, but the intent was honest and good natured!!!

I mean, OK, it’s WRONG to do this.
But this post is EXTREMELY misleading.
It’s a TEMPORARY tattoo!
It’ll wash off in a day!
This doctor doesn’t deserve to be sued. Yelled at, yes. Scolded, definitely. Punished, you betcha. But sued??? OVER THIS???? This is definitely as harmless as malpractice gets. This is just another case of a patient trying to get the doctor’s money.
