The American singer and movie star is said to have five tattoos. Being the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus and the half brother of Trace Cyrus, it was inevitable that she would like the ink as much as the rest of her family. She had her first tattoo at the age of seventeen. She has the words “just breath” inked on the left side of her rib cage. The design is for her friend Vanessa who died of cystic fibrosis in 2007 and her grandfather who died of lung cancer. She said the tattoo reminds her not to take things for granted, as breathing was something that neither of them could do, yet we all take breathing for granted. She had the design close to her heart as that is where she keeps them both.
Miley also has a tattoo on the inside of her right ear, it is the word “love” and she is said to have it done whilst her father was having a tat done in 2010. She had the word “love” tattooed in her ear to signify drowning out any negative comments and just hearing positive comments as she feels there is too much negativity in the world.

Miley Cyrus also has a heart tattoo on her right little finger and she had a tiny cross on her ring finger. She has never given a reason for these tats but she has said that she never gets a tattoo that is meaningless, so we must draw our own conclusions.

Miley’s most recent tattoo is of a dream catcher that is inked on her right side, it is said to be a design of the dream catcher that hangs over her bed. The dream catcher has four feathers that are supposed to represent her four brothers and sisters and this dream catcher is to protect them.

Miley Cyrus is a real girly girl and so it will follow that she will only have girly tattoos with meanings behind them. Why else would anyone have a tattoo of a dream catcher, more to the point why would your dream catcher have four feathers to represent her four brothers and sisters? It could be said that the “love” tattoo in her ear could be seen as a little “naff”, but only a “girly” girl would even consider the meaning behind this tattoo.
