Angelina Jolie’s Tattoo Regret

For many individuals, the idea of having a tattoo inked may come with mixed feelings.  Many decide against it for the simple fact that a tattoo is something that you must live with for the rest of your life.  Others can’t wrap their mind around the fact that actual ink will be embedded within their skin for all of eternity.  Maybe the thought of being in constant pain for the better part of a couple of hours is too much for you to fathom.  However, if you truly want a tattoo, especially as a memorial, that is simply a chance you must be willing to take.

Tattoo Regret

Many people go ahead with their tattoo plans and love the outcome.  Others still live with the regret of old flames’ names embedded in their arms.  Whichever category you fall into, you’re not on your own.  In fact, it is believed that many more women than men end up regretting their tattoo choices.  This could be for many reasons; however, most people believe it is because men aren’t judged as harshly by their tattoo choices as women are.

If you happen to regret a tattoo decision that you have made, you are certainly not alone.  In fact, many would not think so, but even Angelina Jolie has tattoos that she wishes she would not have obtained.  In fact, many of these she has attempted to either cover up with other tattoos or have eliminated by lasers.  The following are just a few of the tattoos that she has covered or had lasered.

Angelina’s Regretted Tattoos

1. Once while in Amsterdam, Angelina got inebriated and got a tattoo of a dragon.  She regretted this later and has since covered the tattoo with a Latin cross.
2. She has the name of Billy Bob Thornton, her ex husband also on her left arm.  She has been trying to have this removed by laser, but it is proving to be there for life.
3. She has another tattoo also that was a matching tattoo that she got with ex-hubby Thornton.  This tattoo was placed on her right arm, but she has since covered it with a tattoo illustrating the strength of will.
4. Once, while on a television show, she explained a tattoo that she used to have on her lower back of a window.  She stated that she used to dream looking out of windows and wished she had more time to spend outside, but since becoming a mother, she spends the majority of her time outside.  This made the tattoo seem redundant.
5. She had a Chinese letter that stood for courage, but this tattoo is now covered by another; a Tennessee Williams quote.
6. Another Chinese letter that many believe to mean death she has now covered with a prayer for her oldest son, Maddox.
7. She has a dragon on her left arm that she has been having laser treatments on for some time now; however, you can still faintly see the outline.

So you see it isn’t just you that is feeling a bit of shame or regret for a tattoo.  Reading this, we can all feel a little shame and regret for Angelina.
