If you decide on a lip tattoo you need to consider the after-care and hygiene. You will need to rinse your mouth with mouthwash before and after the tattoo has been done. Then you will need to rinse with mouthwash after every meal and after smoking. It is advisable to not eat anything for a few hours after the initial tattoo.

In general lip tattoos should not be treated any different to any other tattoo, and you will need to find a reputable tattoo artist in a reputable tattoo shop. Remember that a lip tattoo is like any other tattoo as with the thinner line and the closer the letters, the more likelihood that the tattoo will fade and become unreadable in time. It also hurts like hell!
